A dead anthropologist (Brosnan) chases, and then is chased by, a band of rogue eskimo spirits bent on driving him crazy; all in the false memories of a psychotic nurse (Down)! After being confronted by a disturbing, anal retentive nun who serves honey-lemon tea, Brosnan's french character kills one of the annoying yet seemingly harmless '80s metalhead eskimo spirits. Frenchman Brosnin then books it upstairs to have angry french sex with his french wife. He spends part of the next morning confusingly transformed into the psychotic nurse, then changes back for a tender rooftop conversation with his mysterious, shape-shifting lover. He then again becomes the nurse (after trying to throw someone over the edge of the roof). At random moments during the film, various characters respond to simple questions with careless, tearful laughter. For a while it remails unclear who is insane and who is not, the accusations flying and panic escalating. As the movie rapidly (more like finally) reaches a climax, Brosnan's widow (who has joined forces with the nurse) is under seige as her house is raided by droves of the kamikaze eskimo spirits cleverly disguised as adolescent biker-gangers! For some reason, the attackers aren't smart enough to figure out how to get into the attic at the top of the stairs where the two women are hiding and screaming. So the spirits all just quietly leave. Someone lights a candle and cries. The women possibly become secret lovers and decide to move away. On their way out of California they spot Brosnan, who has become an eskimo spirit motorcyclist. Somebody screams "NO!" and Brosnan just stares at them, then rides away. © 2005 actionplant.com. all rights reserved.
